A little about our Winery & Cellar Building

Just like each of our wines, our winery and cellar draws it’s inspiration from old world building techniques dating back to the late 1800s.

Built in 2008, our winery and cellar building utilizes rice straw bales in it’s construction. Rice straw is a local, renewable, and environmentally friendly resource, and reduces the amount of lumber used in building. “Straw Bale Construction,” as it became known in the late 1800s, brings many upsides and benefits, including it’s exceptional insulation qualities—keeping our cellar cool in the summer and warm in the winter—perfect for wine making and storage.
